CC Mariners 15U Triumph Over VT Strikers 15U

The Clinton County Mariners 15U took down VT Strikers 15U 7-4 on Wednesday.

The Mariners were the first to get on the board in the first inning when Easton O’Connell singled, then Matt Owen singled, scoring O’Connell.

The VT Strikers 15U took the lead in the bottom of the second. An error scored two runs, to give VT Strikers 15U the advantage, 2-1. Evan Guynup’s sharp ground ball scored two runs, giving the Mariners the lead 3-2. Runs 4 and 5 were scored on wild pitches.

The Strikers rallied to make it 5-4 in the bottom of the 6th before Xander Yu came in from the bullpen to stop the rally and keep the Mariners in the lead.
In the top of the 7th, the Mariners utilized a little small ball when Jacoby Waldron laid down a perfect squeeze bunt to score Ben Carpenter. Waldron then scored on a wild pitch/squeeze attempt by Elliot Peryer.

Kellan Parks earned the win for CC Mariners 15U. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings. Owen teRiele pitched two innings in relief for Mariners . The hurler surrendered three hits and two runs while, striking out two and walking four. With the bases loaded, Connor Lafty collected the save, striking out the last two batters of the game.

Evan Guynup led the way with two runs batted in. Easton O’Connell and Lafty were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for CC Mariners 15U. Ben Carpenter stole two bases. CC Mariners 15U turned two double plays in the game.

The Mariner head to Saratoga for the Battle of the Belt this weekend.

CC Mariners 15U Take Lead And Never Look Back In Wins Over Lyon mountain Junior Miners 15U and the Malone Junior Border Hounds 15U.

CC Mariners 15U took game one vs Lyon Mountain 10-2.

In the bottom of the first inning, CC Mariners 15U took the lead after Ben Carpenter tripled to center field, Matt Owen hit a sacrifice fly, and Lyon mountain Junior Miners 15U committed an error, each scoring one run.

CC Mariners 15U extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI doubles by Owen and Kellan Parks.

The Mariners scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jacoby Waldron grounded out, scoring one run, Troy Zuhlsdorf singled, scoring two runs, and Owen teRiele singled, scoring two runs.

Evan Guynup earned the win for CC Mariners 15U. The starter gave up one hit and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Waldron collected the save. teRiele appeared in relief for CC Mariners 15U.

CC Mariners 15U tallied 12 hits in the game. Zuhlsdorf and Connor Lafty each collected two hits for CC Mariners 15U. Owen, Zuhlsdorf, and teRiele each drove in two runs.

In game 2 of the day, the Mariners got the win versus the Malone Junior Border Hounds, 20-1.
Carson Barse collected four hits in five at bats.

A double by Matt Owen put CC Mariners 15U on the board in the top of the first.

Rourk Meacham hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Malone Jr. Border Hounds 15U tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

CC Mariners 15U flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on five hits. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Xander Yu following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in two.

CC Mariners 15U added one run in the third. Owen teRiele singled to center field, making the score 7-1.

CC Mariners 15U scored 10 runs on four hits in the top of the sixth inning.

Lafty opened the game for CC Mariners 15U. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Kellan Parks and Carpenter each came on in relief for CC Mariners 15U and shutdown Malone Jr. Border Hounds 15U.

CC Mariners 15U amassed 17 hits in the game. Yu went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Matt Owen, Elliot Peryer, and Evan Guynup each collected multiple hits for the Mariners.

Rowen Rabideau drove in four runs on two hits to lead Clinton County Mariners 2026 14U past 2026 Malone Border Hounds Prep 14-2 on Sunday at Saranac High School.

Rowen Rabideau earned the win for Clinton County. The starter gave up four hits and one run over five innings, striking out three and walking two.

Big Fifth Inning Leads VT Strikers 17U Past Clinton County Junior Mariners

VT Strikers 17U defeated Clinton County Junior Mariners 12-2 on Saturday thanks in part to nine runs in the fifth inning.

Clinton County Junior Mariners got on the board in the first inning after Wyatt Barton singled, scoring two runs.

Eli Davis hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the first for the VT Strikers 17U.

Wyatt Nelson grounded out, which helped VT Strikers 17U tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.

VT Strikers 17U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring nine runs on three hits to take the lead, 11-2. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

Maxwell Smith earned the win for VT Strikers 17U. The starter surrendered three hits and two runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Sully Loughan took the loss for Clinton County Junior Mariners. The starter went four innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits, striking out seven and walking five.

Barton drove the middle of the lineup, leading Clinton County Junior Mariners with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Joey Kazlo, Owen Rankin, Barton, and Connor Lafty each collected one hit for Clinton County Junior Mariners.

Thomas Trombley and Davis each collected two hits for VT Strikers 17U. Nolan Quenneville, Nelson, Smith, Parker Walker, Michael McDougall, Trombley, Nate Stewart, Xavier Barnes, and Davis each drove in one run for VT Strikers 17U. VT Strikers 17U had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Nelson and Stewart led the team with two walks each.
