Hello Everybody - just a quick update on the tournaments in Morrison. Coach Pitch has been cancelled for the time being, we are working on finding a way to still make it happen, but doesn't sound like it will be this week.

Boys Minors are on as scheduled this week.

We understand with the heat there is really no good answer and lots of discussions have taken place on the best course for this week. If your team is playing in another town that is up to them on the best course for them so make sure to follow-up with the coaches if you haven't already heard from them.

For those going to the complex tonight, please make sure to bring lots of water and ways to stay cool. While it will still be really hot at 7:30 it should be cool enough to get the games in - just make sure your child knows to say something if they start to feel under the weather and just lookout for one another.

Unfortunately with the rain this morning and lack of sun today it's left the fields unplayable for tonight - therefore games in Morrison have ben cancelled tonight (6/17). We will update here as we hear from other towns. Please help spread the word. Hopefully this will be the last of our messages for the year.

Here we go again - Due to the weather, all games at the Morrison Sports Complex have been cancelled for tonight.

All games tonight have been cancelled outside of town as well.

Hello Everybody - We finally got some rain which is great for the farmers and the grass, not so great for the ballplayers. All games tonight at the Morrison Sports Complex have been cancelled. Please help spread the word!

Happy Tuesday Everybody - We are in need of some umpires for a few upcoming games this week and next. We have plate and base open for 5/28 (Thursday, 5:30) for Girls Minors and 6/2 (Tuesday, 5:30) for Girls Pony.

We also have a few later in the month that have both and some bases open for Girls Minors mid to late June.

Obviously the most important one right now is the game tomorrow to find a few willing to umpire so the girls can play. Please share to help spread the word. Thank you!

Happy Monday - It is Opening Week for some of our teams and we have games scheduled to start as early as today. Opening Night was a great success and we can't express enough thank you to everybody that was apart of it as well as our Opening Day Committee who put it all together and the weather for providing a great day to celebrate the upcoming year.

We can't begin a season without thanking all of our wonderful local businesses for supporting MYBS with sponsorships as well as donating for the baskets on Opening Day. As a non-profit it is these businesses that are greatly vital in helping keeping these rec programs going so please take some time to recognize those that graciously have donated for the upcoming season. Many of these businesses donate to MYBS year in and year out and we greatly appreciate every single one, past and present.

With the upcoming year - we are still in need of umpires to help with the games especially early on in the year as High School teams get ready to begin regionals and a hopeful long run towards state. It's a good way to get some extra cash for the summer, and who can't use that with gas prices! If you are interested in helping out umpiring this year and have not already reached out please feel free to reach out to morrisonyouthball@gmail or Matt Hill (815)718-8267 and we can get you the information needed to sign up for games.

Hopefully the weather cooperates this week to kick the season off and we hope everybody enjoys a good ball season!
