Hey guys. Fishing season will be here before you know it. I’m just guaging people’s interest in a PA fishers of Men season this year. Jay Hoff is taking over the director position with the Pennsylvania Division of Fishers of Men. Tentative schedule is as follows:

June 27 and 28 - Lake Erie
August 1 - Clarion River Milton Launch
August 15 - Allegheny River - East Bradys Bend
September 5 and 6 - Chautauqua Lake

The final FOM tournament of the year is this Saturday and it’s going to be a slug fest. Send your entry fees to [email protected] by tomorrow at midnight. We will meet at 5:30 at Long Point State Park Boat Ramp for doughnuts and a short devotion. We will plan to get on the water by 6 and blast off around safe light at 6:15. 5 fish 12 inch limit and weigh in will be at 3. See you there !

Kinzua Tournament tomorrow. Open to Pa and NY waters. Meet at 5AM at Elijah Run Boat ramp for donuts and devotional and we will launch at safe light. Weigh in at 3PM. Please note there is a 15 inch minimum size limit in NY.

Weather reports changed from yesterday. We are now planning to do Bay tomorrow and main lake on Saturday. I will text and message everyone. Be prepared as for both as weather may change again.

Hey guys. We will plan to meet at 5:00 at the Niagara launch for both Friday and Saturday. We will have donuts and do our meeting and devotional. Still keeping an eye on the weather but it’s looking like Friday will be main lake and Saturday will be Bay only.

Our second event was on Portage Lakes near Akron Ohio. Fisherman reported tough conditions in practice although many large fish were seen cruising the banks. Despite difficult practice days, all teams came in with limits during the tournament. Bump and Adam Morlock took home their first FOM win with a weight of 12.60. Lake and Moslak finished second with 10.96 and Humenay and Mansell finished third with 10.29 and had the big fish for the event with a 3.46 largemouth.

Our first tournament is in the books. The fish on Mosquito Creek Lake were in all stages of the spawn and all teams came away with a limit of fish. Shawn Skobel (fishing solo) bested the field with a weight of 17.56 and a 4.56 pound lunker. Lake and Moslak came in second with 14.90 and Humenay and Mansell came in third with 12.68.
