We made these duck camo hats with handmade leather patches for a youth football event earlier this year. I’ve been thinking about bringing them to the online store, but I want to know what you think. Would you grab one if we dropped them? 👀

Today we’re making chili. I apparently don’t know the difference between a white and yellow onion, but that’s okay because this chili was bomb.

Here’s everything we used.

Ingredients:

* 2 tbsp olive oil
* 2 medium yellow onions, diced
* 2 lbs 90% lean ground beef or ground turkey
* 5 tbsp chili powder
* 4 tbsp ground cumin
* 4 tbsp tomato paste
* 2 tbsp garlic powder
* 3 tsp salt
* 1 tsp ground black pepper
* 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
* 3 cups beef broth
* 2 (15 oz) cans petite diced tomatoes
* 2 (16 oz) cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed (optional)
* 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce

Directions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the diced onions and cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add the ground beef or turkey, break it apart, and cook for 6–7 minutes until browned.
3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, tomato paste, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne.
4. Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes with their juice, kidney beans, and tomato sauce. Stir everything together.
5. Bring to a low boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove from the heat and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
