Growing and learning at the Y! 🌱

Thanks to Grundy County Ag In The Classroom and Y volunteer Donna Jeschke for spending some time teaching our campers all about gardening and plant life this morning! We always have so much fun with you, and we are looking forward to many more great lessons ahead! 😉

The Morris Hospital YMCA is proud to partner with the Northern Illinois Food Bank for a series of Summer Family Market events.

Households with kids and teens (ages 18 or under) are invited to stop by the Y to receive free groceries on the following dates:

Monday, June 22 from 3:30-5 p.m.
Monday, July 13 from 3:30-5 p.m.
Monday, August 3 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Summer Family Market distributions use a contactless drive-thru model with pre-packed groceries. No registration, ID, or documentation is needed. Food is distributed on a first-come first-served bases, while supplies last. For more information, please visit the Membership Desk.

The Morris Hospital YMCA is partnering with Lee Family Martial Arts to offer a 10-week beginner Taekwondo class led by a professional Taekwondo Master.

Starting the week of June 22, classes will be held weekly on either Mondays or Fridays and provide a great introduction for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of Taekwondo. Participants will have the option to purchase a uniform and participate in belt testing; however, both are completely optional.

Over the past several weeks, generous Y supporters came together to raise more than $205,000 to help send kids to YMCA camp this summer!
