Brett Bounds claimed he was never more ready or prepared than he was his start against Joliet Catholic at the Washington Class 3A Sectional. That preparation led to near perfection for Bounds as he scattered five hits in tossing a complete game shutout in a 7-0 Morris victory.

Morris Baseball is heading to the Elite 8 for the first time since 1995 as they defeated the two time defending Champs, Joliet Catholic Academy, 7 to 0 at the Class 3A Washington Sectional Championship.
