This weekend the Varsity team traveled to Tucumcari to compete in the Tucumcari Invite. Coming out seeded third in their pool they took on #2 seed Grady and won 3-0. Then they had to battle the host team Tucumcari Lady Rattlers and won in a thrilling 3-1 set to get to the championship match. In a hard fought 5 set matchup against Tatum your Pintos came away with a 2nd place finish. Lilly Shoemate, Payten Butler and Kinlee Corr were all named to the All Tournament Team. Lots of volleyball, lots of growth and a whole lot of success. Great job ladies!!

Your Pinto Varsity Volleyball team wins in the first round of the Tucumcari Invite. They get the sweep against a determined Grady team and will play against host Tucumcari at 11:30 tomorrow.

Meanwhile the JV Pinto Team get a 2-1 win against West Mesa (29-31, 25-23, and 15-12) and will face Socorro tomorrow at 11:30.

It’s a program sweep!! Congratulations to all 3 Pinto teams as they rounded out the night with a sweep of the Del Norte Knights. JV and Varsity continue their gauntlet of a week with JV heading to East Mountain High School to participate in the JV tournament and Varsity travels to Tucumcari to compete in the 8 team Tucumcari Invite. Go Pintos!!! 🐎🏐

Volleyball season is back in the swing of things. Coming off a day of competitive play and a 2nd place finish in the Bosque Tournament for our JV team all three teams will take the court this Tuesday August 24th at Del Norte High School

Volleyball Tryouts are here!

Come out Monday August 10th and Tuesday August 11th from 3:30-6pm. All physicals including concussion course certification and all signatures MUST be in the Athletic Office prior to trying out.

Be ready to work hard, be good teammates and show us those skills!

Tryouts are on Monday and Tuesday next week. All required paperwork must be in the athletic office by tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 7. Requirements include a completed physical form, signed clearance documents, and proof of completion for the online concussion safety course. Failure to have these documents completed will result in the inability to tryout for the season.

Tryout information:

Monday August 10th and Tuesday August 11th from 3:30-6pm. All physical paperwork which includes the physical packet with all signatures from athletes and parents and completion and proof of online concussion course must be in the Athletic Office by Friday August 7th.

This Friday New Mexico Family Medicine is offering Free Sports Physicals to all MESD Student Athletes. Please call to get scheduled! Make sure that you have completed the necessary action steps in the physical packet prior to arriving.

Off season workouts continue tomorrow Monday July 20th from 9-11:30.

On Tuesday July 21st we travel East on I-40 to Tucumcari for their play date where two of our teams will continue to show their hard work and effort this summer.
