We are incredibly grateful for Sharron Young and his continued commitment to giving back to Morgantown High through Sharron’s Shoe Closet.

A couple of times each year, Sharron generously donates brand-new shoes to the MHS PE Department to help students who may not have appropriate shoes (or simply forget to bring them) so they can still participate in class and receive their daily grade.

Sharron’s love for Morgantown High continues well beyond his time as a student-athlete. He takes great pride in giving back to the school and community that mean so much to him, and we couldn’t be more proud of the young man he has become.

Thank you, Sharron, for always taking care of your fellow Mohigans! 💙❤️👟

Sharron is coming home to West Virginia this season to play at the Greenbrier!

Basketball has been played inside Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier since 2022, and this fall will bring a first.

Morgantown native Sharron Young will become the first player to compete in both the Battle for the Springhouse and The Greenbrier Tip-Off, the college tournament held each November.

Young helped lead Morgantown High School to the Boys Division title at the Battle for the Springhouse in 2024. This November, he’ll return to America’s Resort as a member of the WKU Hilltopper Basketball team for The Greenbrier Tip-Off.

We’re excited to welcome Sharron back to The Greenbrier! 🏀

Congratulations to Bob Stelmack and family (from Maryland) on winning the WVU Football season tickets. Their daughter is a junior at WVU so they’re big Mountaineer fans and extremely excited and grateful.

Yesterday was a great day for Morgantown High Basketball! 🏀⛳️

We were blessed with so many great people, beautiful weather, and incredible support. From the outstanding Lakeview staff to our donors, participants, volunteers, alumni, families, and friends — it truly couldn’t have been a better day. So many good vibes, and we are incredibly grateful and appreciative!

JT and Big Daddy’s Catering knocked it out of the park once again! Thank you to Cheri Grigsby for the hilarious Marshmallow Long Drive Contest, March Westin for the incredible Golf Ball Cannon, Team Gyorko for the amazing job on #1, Mr. Booth for the heckling on #12, Aaron Gizzi and his staff, and all of our friends and family who traveled in to be a part of the day.

A huge thank you to Legends for a great dinner and to Tropics for always providing an amazing place for everyone to get together, visit, laugh, and enjoy one another’s company afterwards!

And to everyone who contributed in any way — THANK YOU! It was just a great day all around and another reminder of how fortunate we are to have so many people supporting Morgantown Basketball.

Another big time win for the Mohigans today vs Toledo St. Francis de Sales! We were placed in tier 1 of the NCAA Midwest Live and played a lot of D1 talent. A couple massive wins this weekend. A great group of young men! We can’t wait to pick back up in the fall!
