๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐? On-court: Beating Pitt her senior year! Abby and the team took it to 5 sets and won the fifth 15-12. She somehow pulled off the final kill too, which made it that much sweeter for her!
Off-court: After losing her mom to a long battle with breast cancer near the end of her junior year, she remembers looking up at the door at the beginning of her celebration of life (in Denver, CO) and seeing her coach, Jill, standing there. Abby broke down and cried. It showed just how much she cared about her players - she flew across the country during peak recruiting season. Abby had no idea she would be there. (And a side note - shout out to the best strength and conditioning coach, Corey Twine, aka )
๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ช๐ฉ๐จ? WVU varsity club tailgate tent before football games (shout out to Dale Wolfley!! ); the Presidentโs House Overlook (her husband proposed to her there!); and the best restaurant is Chaang Thai on High Street!
๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐? After living and working in Morgantown for another 4 years after graduating, Abby got married to another Mountaineer, Zacary Tardiff, in Morgantown and then moved (back home) to Centennial, CO 8 years ago! Together they have two amazing kids, a 5-year-old daughter, Zane, and an almost 3-year-old son, Enzo. Abby is a working mama and the Community Bank President at ANB Bank in Castle Rock.
๐ฃ๏ธ ๐๐๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐- When Abby played volleyball, there were three Abbys on the team for a couple years, and four Abbys if you include the year before she arrived. So, they all went by their last namesโฆ Abby was just called โMonsonโ while playing!
