Last Friday WVURFC was dealt a tremendous blow when player Ben Pravecek took his life. He was a beloved teammate and brother to all at WVU rugby and will be missed dearly. We ask for you to keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

In accordance with WVU, ARU and NCR guidelines WVU Rugby will not have a fall season. We are hopeful to pick up again in the spring for sevens and will continue to train, recruit and remain active as a team while staying within Covid-19 guidelines.

Important Fall 2020 Update: ARU to suspend Collegiate competitions.

While we have been eagerly anticipating our new Collegiate competitions, those debuts will have to wait. Please see the press release below and visit the ARU website COVID-19 page for updates. We will continue to monitor the situation and update guidance as necessary.

In lieu of competition, the ARU will be providing digital seminars on a variety of topics including player/team safety measures, professionalism, marketing and engagement, fundraising conversations, as well as coaching and referee engagement where possible. Continue to stay tuned as we will release more information on these virtual engagements soon!

WVURFC is excited to announce it's joining the Allegheny Rugby Union. With this year's sevens season cut short, the team is excited to get back out on the rugby pitch with new and familiar competition.

Welcome to the ARU, gentlemen.

We will launch a new conference committed to NSCRO's new Open Division D2 Competition beginning this upcoming fall season.

Thanks to all new teams for their enthusiasm in joining the ARU. It shows great faith in our organization, and that our services are valued.
