The Sukisha Bujinkan Dojo has been West Virginia's soul provider of the ancient Japanese art of Ninjutsu since 1989. Ninjustu refers to ALL of the arts, tactics and systems used by the ancient Ninja of Japan such as open hand combat (taijutsu), swordsmanship (kenjutsu), escape and concealment (intonjustu), throwing stars/blades (shurikenjutsu) spear fighting (sojutsu) and much more. True Ninjustu

lives on with the times, not just practicing ancient arts of war and espionage but utilizing the tools and weapons of today. That being said, The Sukisha Bujinkan Dojo also offers life saving survival skills and prepping techniques (shelter building, fire making, supply gathering and storage, etc.) Crucial abilities in times of natural disasters and other states of emergency. Ninja Tom Stowers and the teaching of Sukisha Bujinkan Dojo come from a true Ninja lineage, tracing back hundreds of years to the Togakure mountains of Japan. Sensei "Ninja" Tom Stowers is a direct student of Stephen K. Hayes, the first westerner accredited to learn traditional Japanese Ninjustu and student of 34th Grandmaster of Togakure-Ryu and founder of Bujinkan Ninjustu, Soke Hatsumi Masaaki. Soke Hatstumi Masaaki was the student of the last true living ninja Tosh*tsugu Takamatsu, also known was the Mongolian Tiger, named for his martial accomplishments during his travels though China and Mongolia. Ninja Tom has also traveled to Japan to train with Soke Hatsumi Massaki personally and to seek out spiritual refinement in the mountain temples. He was awarded the title of 'Master' by the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004. He was also inducted into the Martial Arts Hall Of Fame for his efforts as a U.S. Law Enforcement Instructor in 2003 and first civilian in WV History to be awarded the Law Enforcement Instructor Certificate in Self-Defense in 1993 by the Governor after creating an in-service course for Officers. These are just to name a few of his awards and accomplishments. The Sukisha Bujinkan Dojo was built in 1989 by Ninja Tom himself on his property in North-central WV and has been a treasure of the martial arts and music community since.
