2024 Schedule for the Opekiska, Hildebrand, Morgantown and Point Marion Locks

Pt. Marion: open 24/7

Morgantown: open 7 days a week from 7a.m. to 5 p.m.

Opekiska and Hildebrand:

The Upper Mon River Association (UMRA) teams up with local agencies to raise funds and negotiate with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to open Opekiska and Hildebrand for specific days each year. In 2024, they are open from 7 a.m. to 4* p.m. on following days:

May 11, 18, 19

June 8, 15, 16

July 6, 7, 13

Aug. 17

Sept. 14

*Note: the last lock-through begins 30 minutes prior to a lock’s closing time.

Motor boaters, be aware. When you fill your gas tank, be sure to run the blower before starting the motor, so the gas fumes can safely escape and not explode from a spark.
