JIMMY BADRA ... A POSITIVE CREDIT TO THE FITNESS INDUSTRY
Jubran “Jim/Jimmy” Badra, born in Greece in 1961, was the youngest of eight siblings. His family moved to the United States and settled in Saint Paul, Minnesota when he was nine-years old.
Being a foreigner in middle America, Badra was inspired to become a bodybuilder due to bullying and the cultural separation of being a foreigner in a white American school.
At age 19, Badra started lifting heavy weights. His goal was to become a professional champion bodybuilder, after gaining recognitions from amateur physique contests. In 1984, he won the heavyweight division at the Super Bowl of Bodybuilding, 1985 Gold's Classic, 1985 Super Bowl of Bodybuilding, and Mr. Western USA.
At the height of 6 ft. 1 in., (185 cm) weighing 270 lb (122 kg), Badra captured the professional 1988 Mr. World ... and Bodybuilder of the Year titles.
At that time, Jimmy lived and trained in Northern California. Laura Dayton, journalist for Muscular Development, stated, "I've known Jim since his Mr. World win. He is a hard trainer, a superior physique athlete and more importantly, a hell of a nice guy with a genuinely positive attitude about the sport, it's future and his role in that future." She continued to say, "Jim is soft-spoken in an interview, but he has mastered bringing excitement and his unique charisma to the stage."
Over years, Badra's physique photos have graced calanders, greeting cards and newspapers, throughout the U.S., Canada and the Middle East. In addition, Jimmy was featured on the front cover of “Muscular Development Magazine”. He has made appearances in television commercials for health and fitness organizations including 24 Hour Fitness, Healthy Inspirations Weight Loss Centers and Family Fitness Health clubs.
Jimmy's career path and personality have also allowed him to work with/coach celebrities and business notables including: Lee Haney, 7 time Mr. Olympia, Neal Spruce, Founder of Apex Nutritionals, Chris Cucchara, Author and MLM Marketing Master, and Mark Mastroff, Founder of 24 Hour Fitness.
Badra's ability as a prominant speaker has enabled him to share the wealth of knowledge gained from years of researching the health and fitness industry. He has conducted health and fitness workshops and taught seminars across Canada, the Middle East and the United States.
In addition, Badra is a veteran entrepreneur and businessman. He has founded six companies, including restaurants, gyms and weight loss centers. Yet, his main objective remains to take the 30-years of health and fitness knowledge he has acquired through research and experience to teach, inspire, and help others reach their dreams.
Badra's long-time decision continues through a company he co-founded called LHT Revolution, where emphasis is placed on positive mind-setting, nutrition and exercise programs to help achhieve your goals.
