We had a fun hike at Audubon State Park today. Saw turtles, a snake, deer, a pileated woodpecker, and a heron. And most importantly, got to know our teammates and coaches a little better without a soccer ball in sight. Great group of high schoolers and middle schoolers here, but there is room for more!

Nice to be back on the soccer field. And look at how much fun these ladies had today!

Started the season last year with 8 or so on the roster. Had 10 at workouts today, with at least 3 missing, and still recruiting. Would be really nice to get into the 16-20 range. Workouts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday after school while school lasts.

There will be a meeting Thursday during advisory for all 9-11th grade girls interested in soccer next season, both returning and new players. Unfortunate that these wonderful seniors won't be back.

Please encourage those on the fence to try something new! We need 11 on the field at a time and play 80 minute games, so 16-18 players would be ideal.

The soccer team closed out another season with a banquet at the Feed Mill tonight. Very grateful for all of these girls, the work they put in, and the bright smiles as they remember the good times from this season!

Now that the soccer season has come to an end, it is time to work on each player's soccer "trading card" that they get instead of the traditional certificate. This year's are turning out very well!

Arduous: involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult and tiring. Yes, the Bravettes have definitely seen difficulty this season, and obstacles upon obstacles. But they have also experienced fun, growth, perseverance, friendship, elation, inspiration, and unity.

Huge thanks to all the players, parents, and supporters who, like the Bravettes, never gave up. Key word for the offseason: Potential.
