Everyone has their own opinion on the perfect rifle or caliber. I’m not here to debate that.
What I can share is experience. Over the last two seasons, my Seekins Pro Hunter 2 in .308 has exceeded expectations—and I’m saying that as a guide, not just a hunter. In this line of work, reliability is everything.
I bought this rifle to be a true working gun, capable of handling multiple species here in Texas, from whitetail to exotics like aoudad, oryx, red stag, and more.
The setup is straightforward: .308 Wi******er, 24” barrel, TriggerTech trigger, carbon composite stock, and a magazine-fed system. After dialing in the right ammo, glass, and adding a Diligent Defense suppressor, the rifle consistently delivered.
I’ve run a lot of rifles over the years, and this one made me a believer in Seekins Precision. The .308 has proven to be the perfect middle ground—reliable out to 600 yards and forgiving enough to confidently put in the hands of shooters ranging from beginners to experienced hunters.
At the end of the day, that kind of confidence is everything.
