Well the 2026 Nor Cal State Series has started and the Raptors were ready to take on the challenge. Team Captain Sophia made a strong charge in the 14 Girls class, taking 2nd in Lemoore and 3rd in Hanford. In 13X, Alex never stopped pushing and took a 4th in Lemoore and 3rd in Hanford. The Devaurs boys made a strong showing with David putting some of the best laps yet in his young career. Dad Jensen snatched a 2nd in Hanford on day 2. And Lil Mateo, who just turned Expert a few months back, celebrated a birthday on Saturday, racing 8 year olds and learning the ropes! He did a great job.
Even with a small crew, we managed a respectable team score with the help of LDC on both days. The hope is these two team grow together and push each other to be the best we can in 2026. See you at the next one!

Raptor BMX Racing’s first 2025 10Cruiser ROC1, 11Cruiser NAG1 Champion, Matthew “Hole Shot” Tayamen.

Matthew and his brother came to our team this year, looking to improve their bike skills and racing IQ. Matthew took everything in like a sponge. Never complained or made excuses, just put his head done and got the work done. His progress was awesome to watch and I was so happy that they decided to go to Grands this year. I had a feeling good things were about to happen. The rest was on him to perform when needed and he did just that. Next year, he will be riding for a factory team with riders we work well with. And although he won’t be wearing Raptor Green, he’ll still be close to home with us training. Big thank you to his parents, Myra and Mateo for trusting me with their son’s development. Great job Matthew.

Beyond proud of the kids today. They all have been working hard and tons of extra work and sweat. “If we do the right things and give our best effort, the result will take care of itself.”
When you have two riders in the same group and they are banging elbows in the turns, I can’t help but be happy they are competing. Topped off by our team Captain, Sophia, who had 3 solid races and our Intermediate rider Keanu with a clutch podium as well as the battling Devaurs, we walked away with a very respectable Team score. Day one down, and Airtime BMX did a fantastic job today. Thank you! Tomorrow, Woodward!

We have a few more open spots for this weekends Speed Camp with Coach Toy and . She will help the young athletes develop good form and get faster, on and off the track. Whether is racing, football, baseball, soccer, the camp will benefit your child’s athletic development.
The Camp dates are January 18-19, from 9:30-11:00am each day in South San Jose.

Big congrats to Raptor rider Jensen Devaurs for making his Main Event at the 2024 Grands Race of Champions event. He raced in the 40-45 Novice class and made the main event in Moto 1. He just missed getting the exclusive Red 1 ROC plate by 3 feet! Great job buddy.

And great job to Sophia, Barrett, Hudson and David for competing hard during the ROC event. Can’t wait to see what you do this weekend!

Come on out tomorrow night, Tuesday August 6, to Morgan Hill’s National Night Out. Morgan Hill BMX and Foundation for a Better Ride will have a location next to the library with a Strider track and plenty of information on the Sport of BMX. Raptor BMX will also be there, supporting MHBMX, as the track get close to breaking ground. Great family fun event and an awesome way to connect with the community! See you tomorrow!

Good day for the Raptor BMX Racing crew in Salt Lake City. It was hot, but both Barrett and Noah both made 10 Cruiser Main and 10 Expert Main and Sophia made her Open and Class Main. 6 for 6 today. Good stepping stone to build off of for the weekend.

4th of July parade in Morgan Hill was a good time for the Raptor BMX Racing team. Got to go out and support Morgan Hill BMX and our Country on this great day. Big thanks to the Team Moms that helped out carrying the banner, and keeping kids hydrated. Also a big thank you to The Bowl BMX for setting it up and making it happen!
