We got a call a few days ago from a hunter stating he shot a buck and only found a small piece of blood 100 yards into the track. Upon arrive the boys took off to work the area but didn’t show much interest but we pushed towards where the hunters said the deer ran. At the 100 yards into mark we found th blood which just so happened to be bone fragments. The boys pushed another maybe 100 yards before circling back multiple times. We tried to push past that and they showed no interest into the track. We determined the deer was going to live to see another day.

Well this morning we got a confirmation text saying the deer showed back up on camera!

We haven’t been really keeping up with the numbers this year but I’ll take this as a win and that these dogs aren’t getting rusty!

This morning we ran the boys on a nice buck that I had shot in the swamp. The boys trailed it for 400+ yards before hitting a bayou that it crossed onto someone else’s property and we had to call it due to no permission to enter that property. Boys gave their all. Next Time!

We received a call for a stuck doe in southern St. Mary that the hunter was having trouble locating. Took a little boat ride across a bayou and the boys went to work. Didn’t take them long to located this gut shot doe bedded up in some thick stuff! Track was right at 400 yards

This afternoon we covered a track for a buddy in Assumption Parish. He states the deer was shot broad side but took off through some water and he couldnt really tell where she ran off too. R***r his the swamp and in no time was tugging on her waiting for us to walk up. Great job for the first track in LA for the year.

Well this morning didn’t go as planned. Was supposed to be heading to Bama to hit some tracks this weekend but Flynn woke up in extreme pain. Brought him to the vet and got him x-rays to find out the issue. They found that recently Flynn damaged his back. We aren’t sure exactly how but it’s something we will have to deal with for the next few months till he heals back up.

This doesn’t mean we aren’t tracking this year, just means I won’t have my full krewe! Y’all say a prayer for my boy to have a speedy recovery. It’s gonna drive him crazy not being able to hit those woods but it’s what’s best for our boy.

R***r will be accepting all calls for the rest of the year!

We loaded up to verify hit or miss on a Sumter county doe. Boys put over a mile down in circles without hitting on anything. Boys said I missed and we should see her back in camera tomorrow!

I shot a buck with my 6.5 creedmore and the heart blew right out the exit hole! The deer was standing right next to this tree and ran for another 42 yards after its heart was detached, this animals are resilient!!
