We’ve had to put Sculpt and Scripture on pause for a little while due to time constraints…But that doesn’t mean I won’t stop spreading His love. I look forward to so many fleshly things throughout the day; a cup of coffee, getting my kids ready for school, my outfit I wear to work…but I get most excited when I prepare my heart for what the Lord has in store for me to hear, and to learn, and to see through His eyes each day.

Matthew 5: 11-13 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven…”

I told someone recently “God knows my truth”…He knows my heart and intention…And I was told to “stop saying that”…I replied, “I’m not going to stop talking about God”…It wasn’t the first time I had been shut down talking about my faith in such a simple form of a message. And it won’t be the last. But rather than let it get me down, the eye rolls fueled my fire for Him even more. And my shield felt mighty.

Human opinion is fleeting; but the Lord’s judgement is final and just. Can you confidently carry a quiet conscience before the Lord? And not spend the light and time He gave you defending a character, your character, that you know is of His heart?

Remember, people see and hear only snippets of your lives and tend to fill in the blanks with their own assumptions…but God sees the full reality and the intent of all hearts.

1 Peter 2:23
“when He was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.”

Do not let it be the judgement of others that see you through or lead you through this life. Let it be the trust in the Lord that He is your ultimate defender, and you will be His. Always and forever.

Remain true, pure and steadfast in your journey to love more and more as Christ has loved. Do not let the words of other’s assumptions or accusations deter you, nor compromise you or leave you bitter. And most importantly, forgive…as the Lord has already forgiven you. And continue to walk in His footsteps.

Taking a forced pause today to care for my sick girl, which always serves as a gentle reminder to strip things back to the basics when our bodies need to heal.

The absolute best things you can do cost nothing and rely entirely on getting back to basics.

🌿 Eat from the earth (if you have an appetite). Stick to single-ingredient whole foods and flavor with real herbs and spices.

Give your digestive system an easy job so your immune system can focus on recovery.

☀️ Let the sun and earth heal you. Step outside for 10–15 minutes.

Vitamin absorption, natural sunlight, and getting your feet on the ground help calm the nervous system and reset your body’s circadian rhythm.

💧 Drink your water.

Hydrate constantly—cellular repair depends on it.

😴 Rest, for real.

Put the phone down, turn off the noise, and actually let your body reset. Recovery isn’t about pushing through; it’s about giving your body the space to do what it was built to do.

Slowing down today with my girl, lots of liquids, and plenty of sunshine. 🤍

What’s your non-negotiable sick-day ritual?

I want to talk about Postpartum health real quick with everything going on right now….

Norah was such an easy baby, that we immediately wanted another. Holland was a different baby, very different. Never slept, constantly cried and I was alone with her and a 16 month old while Chris was on the drill field…

I can’t imagine where I would have been without all of these things. I’m so eternally grateful.

Thank God for my family. I have NEVER felt as though I couldn’t ask them for help. When we were in Hawaii they came and lived with us. And when I was alone after having Holland they came down once a month to help since Chris was never home. I’ve never felt as though asking them for help was a burden or that they were too busy.

Thank God for my best friends and the only one I opened up to that knew exactly how I was feeling. She sent me her palm cross to cling to while lying on the bedroom floor with Holland in the crib when she wouldn’t stop crying.

Thank God for my fur babies that would come and lay their head on me or my lap or even my neck when I was in shambles on the floor or in bed because Holland wouldn’t stop crying, wouldn’t go to sleep or wouldn’t stay asleep.

Thank God for the moms that asked me for help. That made me feel like I could ask for help from them. The village.

Thank God I had a boss that never once made me feel guilty for having to leave work to pick up a sick kid or because I forgot diapers at daycare. She always encouraged me to go and NEVER once said it in a way like she was disappointed.

Thank God for Norah’s pediatrician that never once made me feel bad for running out of milk. That never questioned my decisions as a mother. That gave me confidence to have another and make decisions for Holland too.

And Thank God for a midwife that never questioned my decisions as a mother regarding my birth plan. That allowed me to lead without feeling judged or uneducated.

And I thank God for a husband that knows when I say I’m at the end of my rope, which I don’t say often, he gives me as much space as I need.

I can only hope and pray that mothers have this kind of support. And if you’re needing this from someone, please reach out. 🤍

Stop skipping workouts just because you don’t have a full hour. 🛑

Read that again.

When schedule chaos hits, the biggest mistake is adopting an “all-or-nothing” mindset. If you were supposed to lift 5x this week for 60 minutes, but you haven’t had time… ask yourself this:

Did you really not have time to start? Or did you not have time to finish?

Could you have given me 20 minutes?

Here is my personal rule when life gets crazy: I set a timer for 20 minutes. ⏰

When the timer goes off, I stop. Even if I have time for more. Why? Because the goal isn’t a perfect session; the goal is protecting the habit and avoiding the burnout/disappointment loop.

Exercise prescription is never one-size-fits-all. Your training should flex with your life, not make you feel like a failure when life happens.

If this is a temporary crazy season: set the timer for 20 minutes and move.

If this is your new normal: it’s time to re-evaluate your routine or talk to your trainer about optimizing a 20-minute, 30-minute, or whatever minute strategy.

Drop a ⏱️ in the comments if you’re trying the 20-minute rule this week!

Realize your Health and Fitness journey will never remain the same…Today, like many other days (and like many of you moms experience), I worked and rushed home to pack up the girls for swim. It was all I could do to find time to throw in a load of laundry before we left and count all the chickens. We had a one hour break between sessions, so we walked over to the swings and basketball court for mom to get in a workout and the girls to have a snack. We got home at 7:15pm. And guess what? I’m not at all upset with how this day went. Today was supposed to be Upper Body…Here’s what you can get done in 20 minutes using just you and your environment.

((45 seconds rest between sets))

4X15 Push Ups
4X15 Swing Rows
4X15 Tricep Dips
4X15 Floating Legs V Sit Up
4x30 Cross Climbers

Seeing clients turn into dear friends is the greatest perk of what I do.

For the past year, every Wednesday was made better getting to train these two incredible humans. Being invited to watch Joe, Jai and their family stand together as Joe graduates OCS today was an honor.

I feel privileged to have been able to witness your love and support for each other, hard work, dedication, and just the overall amazing family you are. Congratulations!
