We are thrilled to welcome Windy Baird to the Rock Steady Boxing coaching team!
Windy recently retired after an incredible 33-year career in music education, where she inspired students of all ages and earned numerous awards for her excellence in teaching and leadership. She also proudly served for 15 years in the U.S. Army Reserve Band and continues to share her love of music in the community.
In retirement, Windy has discovered a new passion for fitness, focusing on personal training, nutrition, and corrective exercise. Her heart for serving others and helping people reach their potential makes her a perfect fit for Rock Steady Boxing.
When she's not coaching, you'll find her cycling, spending time with her rescue dog, Marlin, or enjoying time with her two adult sons, Jack and Wilson.
Please join us in giving Coach Windy a warm Rock Steady welcome! We know she'll make a tremendous impact as we continue to fight back against Parkinson's together. 🥊💙

Today I challenged the boxers to use their voices and be louder than me! It sounded impossible… but they proved me wrong.

The gym was filled with energy, determination, and some seriously powerful voices. Every shout, count, and call-out was a reminder that finding your voice is just as important as finding your strength. Today, the boxers won the challenge, and I was happy to be outmatched!

Keep speaking up, moving big, and fighting back. 🥊💪🎉

When you bring out the balloons, something amazing happens. People living with Parkinson’s forget about their movement challenges for a while. They reach higher, move faster, laugh louder, and focus on the fun instead of the difficulty. 🎈

The balloons aren’t just a game. They’re a reminder that movement can be joyful, confidence can grow, and sometimes the best therapy feels like play. Every hit, reach, and smile is a victory in the fight against PD. 💙🥊
