Slight adjustments have been made to the forecast in an attempt to better resolve the extent to which sleet will decrease snow totals tonight.

Reminder: All New York State snowmobile trails are Closed till the day after big game hunting season ends and the hunters are out of the woods. At that time local clubs will make the decision to open the trails for the season snow permitting.

Here is the latest storm total snowfall map. Amounts for today to Tuesday morning have changed little. The most snow will be in Finger Lakes and western Mohawk Valley of CNY. There snow will increase this evening. For south central NY and NEPA precipitation will start tonight as rain then change to snow. There is also a chance of freezing rain and sleet.

We would be interested in any snow, sleet, and freezing rain amounts as this storm continues. Tanks.
