Kindergarten Wrestling Starts Next Week!

It’s almost time for our youngest Mustangs to hit the mat!

Kindergarten Elementary Wrestling will be held Monday, September 14 through Wednesday, September 16 from 3:00-4:15 PM in the Mora Wrestling Room.

Information and registration forms were sent home with students at school. Registration forms are due tomorrow, September 11, so be sure to get yours turned in if your kindergartner would like to participate! Cost is $25.

No wrestling experience is needed. Wrestling shoes are optional, athletic clothing and clean socks are all they need to come give wrestling a try!

We’re looking forward to getting our Kindergarten wrestlers on the mat and introducing them to Mustang Wrestling!

What Can Your Wrestler Expect at Camp?

Our goal is simple—to help every wrestler improve while having fun.

Throughout the three evenings, campers will:

• Learn wrestling fundamentals and technique
• Improve balance, coordination, and body control
• Participate in drills designed for their age and experience
• Build confidence on and off the mat
• Play wrestling games and enjoy friendly competition

Whether your wrestler is entering their first season or already has experience, they'll be challenged at a level that's right for them.

As a successful former Mustang wrestler, Nathan understands the dedication and hard work that wrestling requires. But what truly sets him apart is the enthusiasm and energy he brings to every practice. His positive attitude is contagious, and he has a natural ability to make learning fun while helping kids build confidence and improve their skills.

Whether he's demonstrating a technique, encouraging a wrestler to keep trying, or celebrating a small victory, Nathan creates an environment where every camper feels welcome and excited to be on the mat.

We're excited to have Nathan helping lead this year's Mora Youth Wrestling Summer Camp and know our wrestlers will benefit from both his knowledge of the sport and his passion for working with kids.

Meet Your Clinician: Nora Houglum

We're excited to welcome former Mustang wrestler Nora Houglum back to the wrestling room as one of the clinicians for this year's Mora Youth Wrestling Summer Camp.

Nora's wrestling journey began right here in Mora, where she developed the skills, work ethic, and love for the sport that carried her to the next level. She now competes at the collegiate level and is passionate about giving back to the program that helped shape her.

Throughout camp, Nora will work with our young wrestlers on technique, fundamentals, and the mindset it takes to continue improving, while making sure they have fun along the way.

This is a great opportunity for our youth wrestlers to learn from someone who has been in their shoes and continues to pursue the sport at a high level.

We look forward to having Nora back on the mat and can't wait for our campers to learn from her.

Join us for the Mora Youth Wrestling Summer Camp, a three-night camp designed for wrestlers entering grades 2-6. Whether your child is brand new to wrestling or already has experience, this camp will focus on building strong fundamentals, improving technique, and having fun in a positive learning environment.

We’re excited to welcome former Mustang wrestlers Nora Houglum and Nathan Nelson back to Mora to help lead this year’s camp.

We’re excited to announce that Kami Senlycki will be returning this summer to help lead our Mora Girls Wrestling Summer Camp!

This camp is open to girls entering grades 4th–12th and is designed for:
• New wrestlers
• Experienced wrestlers
• Girls interested in trying wrestling for the first time

Camp Details:
June 22nd–24th
5:30pm–7:00pm
Mora Wrestling Room
$35 per wrestler

This will be a great opportunity for girls to build technique, confidence, and skills in a fun and welcoming environment while continuing to grow girls wrestling in Mora.

A great way to wrap up the youth season, team bonding at the park and a pizza party to celebrate.

This year brought in new wrestlers, welcomed back returning ones, and showed just how much growth can happen in one season. Skills developed, confidence grew, and friendships were built. Proud of this group and excited for what’s ahead.
