Opening in 2002 to rave reviews, Rustic Canyon Golf Course is a tribute to the very roots of the game with a lay-of-the-land creation by Gil Hanse Golf Design. Built without detailed blueprints or working drawings, Hanse shaped the large contoured, free-form green complexes and sculpted the bunkers from the natural landscape preserving and incorporating into the design the native barrancas. The ca

It’s been 10 years since I played Rustic and I forgot how great of a golf course it is. But after one hole, it’s easy to tell why it’s one of the best public courses, not only in California, but in the US. Need to make sure I don’t wait another 10 years for my next visit.”
