Kyle Busch, one of the most accomplished drivers in NASCAR history and the winningest driver across NASCAR’s national series, passed away at the age of 41 on Thursday.

Busch made several appearances at the Slinger Nationals at Slinger Super Speedway, competing against some of the best short track racers in the country. One of his most notable starts came in 2011, when he won the 32nd annual Slinger Nationals on July 10.

This photo dates back to 2007, when Kyle was at Slinger Super Speedway with his car during an early chapter of his storied career.

His success at every level of racing, from short tracks to the highest levels of NASCAR, leaves a lasting legacy in the sport.
