LNYC Junior Program

LNYC Junior Program This page is dedicated to the Lake Norman Yacht Club (LNYC) Junior Sailing Program The LNYC Junior Program is not just about teaching kids to sail.

It’s more about teaching them a ‘Life Sport’. If we had to sum up our program in two words, it would be ‘Corinthian Spirit’. We challenge each sailor to live by these simple words whether they are here at the club or at school with their friends. We encourage all of our sailors to learn to race once they have learned the basics. And, though we are a volunteer club with limited resources, our sailo

rs have performed well on the Regional, National and World stage. We understand that not every child is competitive at heart. This does not mean that they cannot learn to sail with our program. Once orientated with our program, most kids are absorbed into the group with welcome arms and find friends for life.
