Hi Everyone,
I’m thrilled to kick off another summer of pickleball fun at the Long Beach Island Foundation! Programming with Tristen Pickleball begins the week of June 2nd, and we’re bringing back everything you loved last year — clinics, drills, private lessons, and open play — along with some exciting new additions.
This email is a bit of a deep dive, but it should cover everything you need to know for summer pickleball at LBIF. Let’s get into it!
🌟 New This Year!
🔹 LBIF Ladder Battle (Intermediate Level)
Join our brand-new Ladder Battle for fast-paced, competitive play! Designed for up to 18 players across 4 courts, this high-energy format keeps things moving with minimal downtime.
-Win a round, move up a court. Lose a round, move down.
-Each round is 10 minutes with new partners every time.
-Tie? First team to score on serve wins the round.
-We’ll play 10 rounds per session.
-Winners on Court 1 take home a gift card!
This is an awesome way to meet new partners, improve your game, and compete in a fun, fast-paced environment. If it’s a hit, we’ll run it all summer!
🔹 Coached Beginner Open Play with Kristen
Perfect for those new to the game or looking to build confidence. We’ll start with a 20-minute warm-up and open play orientation, then dive into 70 minutes of coached play with tips on scoring, strategy, paddle rotation, etiquette, and more.
Each week features a different skill focus — think serves, returns, volleys, overheads, d***s — and sometimes a round of King/Queen of the Court!
🎾 Private Lessons
Available in 30, 45, and 60-minute options, mostly in the afternoons.
Members: $40–$130 per person
Non-members: $50–$140 per person

You earn a punch for every clinic, drill, or open play (free punch must be used for one of those — not private lessons).
