Today marks 34 years since the doors opened at Green Family Martial Arts.

Not 34 years of kicks, punches, and belts.
Thirty-four years of kids becoming adults.
Adults becoming mentors.
Families being built on discipline, respect, and quiet confidence learned on a mat.

I’ve watched children grow up, leave, build lives, and then walk back through those same doors with their own kids holding their hand. That is something no trophy, no title, no resume line can compete with.

A martial arts training center is a strange kind of place. It looks like a training floor or boxing ring. But over time, it becomes a second home, a counseling office, a place of refuge, a place where people learn who they are when things get hard.

I have always said, “I don’t just teach martial arts here. I build people here. It just so happens you learn how to fight along the way.”

And 34 years later, I’m still learning from every student who steps onto that mat.

Grateful. Humbled. Still teaching.

I am happy to announce that Black Belt Adolfo Orellana has agreed to take over the school and continue the Green Family traditions. I hope you will all support him as he takes on this challenge. Be patient with him as he grows into this new role, there is no one more deserving of it.
