Some of may have noticed that the basket on 18 is really messed up. It got crushed by a tractor loading grass bales. Also many lost discs were found. Check in with the church gym to see if yours has been found. Gym hours are M-F 6a-12p.

Okay so there is a change. The Moore Schools will have the use of the course on 8/3. It will not be an all day event. So if you are still wanting to play the course I would wait until after 5pm. The September 9,2023 date will have at least 20+ schools here so I wouldn't even think about trying to play that day. Just keeping you all updated. Play safe and hydrated!

Hello Everyone,

The disc golf course will be shut down the following days for the Moore Schools cross-country trial run and statewide cross-country track meet. It is our privilege to serve our community in this capacity. I will post again closer to these dates just as a reminder.

The staff and members at First Moore Baptist Church have been pleased to offer a disc golf course on our grounds. It has not been without it challenges in the past. It took a lot of volunteer work to get the course installed. While we still lack tee pads, tee signs and trees to define the fairways, we have done what we could with what monies we were given to at the very least install baskets and give some kind of definition to provide an outlet to the Moore and surrounding communities a place to come play. In the last year we have had two baskets stolen from the course. The baskets for 6 and 7 are now gone and since the cost for replacement would come have to come out of the church budget, we are unable to do so at this time. So what use to be a 18 hole course is now just 16. The course fairways for what baskets remain have been mowed. If you plan to play a full round, minus the 6 and 7, you will need to go to the tee area of hole 8 from the basket of 5. A walking path has been mowed and provided which you will walk by the old placement of basket seven. Here at First Moore we would like to continue to provide a place for the disc golf community to come play. The mowing, use of our own equipment, upkeep on that equipment, fuel and other costs comes out of the church budget, along with paying the salary of those who work at the church to keep the course maintained. If baskets continue to be stolen, we will have no choice to remove all baskets and discontinue the course. Also please take whatever empty plastic bottles, cans or snacks wrapper you bring with you when you play. Help keep the course clean.

Hello everyone,

Just want to provide an update for July 11-14. The church is having VBS during that week and access to the course on the east side will be blocked off for VBS registration drop off and pickup from 7a-1p. You may still use the course but the only access will be from the west parking lot. You will need to tell the parking lot monitor as you pull in why you are there. Plus to be honest the back portion of the course is better to play anyway. Provides more obstacles. Anyway if you have any questions please post here and we will reply.

***UPDATE***
The whole course is back open for play today. The pile is mostly burnt down but still has fire and embers. Please be careful if you throw close to this area. Any disc accidentally thrown there assuredly be burned or destroyed. Also mowing the fairways has commenced again. Happy throwing.

The front 10 holes will be closed today on our disc golf course. Moore Fire department will be doing training and burning the brush pile between holes 8 and 5. If anything changes I will keep you posted. Thanks for your understanding.
