​Hey there! If you’re new around here or just visiting my page, let me introduce myself.

​I’m Coach Denise—owner of Full30Fit, a veteran, an Integrative Health Practitioner, a wife, a mom of four, Grami to one, and your ultimate partner in health.

​My path to owning this gym wasn’t a straight line, but every single step was preparing me to serve you:

​🎖️ The Foundation: I spent 15 years serving in the United States Air Force (where I actually met my retired-veteran husband, Mark, playing base volleyball!). That gave me a deep love for discipline, leadership, and mission-driven teamwork.

​🏡 The Intermission: After the military, I dedicated 16 years to being a stay-at-home, homeschooling mama to our four incredible kids.

​🚀 The Leap of Faith: I started coaching the early morning hours at Full30Fit back in 2018. When the gym was on the verge of closing its doors in 2023, I couldn't just stand by. This community had become my village. I took a massive leap of faith, stepped up, and bought the gym.

​🌿 The Cellular Shift: My coaching goes way deeper than just counting reps. After battling my own severe health crisis with mold toxicity, I realized that true fitness requires root-cause healing. Today, I’m a Certified Integrative Health Practitioner. At Full30Fit, we combine high-octane, functional HIIT training with real, cellular nutrition. We treat the whole person.

The Fit Fam crushed it this morning in honor of Memorial Day.

We completed a mini version of the Murph which was a gruelingg workout invented by Navy Seal Lieutenant Michael Murphy.

We set a timer for 30 minutes and completed as many rounds as possible:
5 mile bike/row/.25 mile jog outside
10 pullups
20 pushups
30 squats

Not as brutal as the original, bit still very challenging!
What a privilege to be able to accomplish this!

Frequently, the convo on the gym mat gravitate toward this question: "Anyone else sore today?" 😅

​A little "good sore" is part of the process, especially if we’re hitting muscles you don't use often. But when you’re waddling around the gym like a duck (or worse, you’re afraid to sit on the toilet because you aren’t sure you can get back up) it’s hard to stay consistent. 🦆🚽

​I’ve had people tell me they’re afraid to really push the heavier weight because they can't afford to be that stiff for the next three days. I get it. I choose to move a lot of weight because that’s how we build muscle and stay strong, but I also have a gym to run and a family to keep up with. I don't have extra time to be sidelined, either.

​If you’re still limping 72 hours after leg day, it’s usually just a sign that your recovery hasn’t caught up to your work yet. 🧠💪

​How I bridge that gap so I can keep pushing:

​Amino Acids: To help the body repair those micro-tears before the "I can't move" feeling sets in.

​Electrolytes & Minerals: To keep the muscles firing and relaxing properly so they don't stay in a permanent cramp.

​Collagen: To support the joints and ligaments that carry the load when the weights get heavy.

​Active Mobility: Keeping things fluid so you move like an athlete, not a statue.

​Lifting heavy is the goal, but "hurting" doesn't have to be the requirement. When you fuel the repair, you can hit those big numbers and still feel (mostly) like yourself the next morning.

🛑 Stop "Dieting" and Start Fueling.
Most women 40+ aren’t struggling because they’re eating too much... They’re struggling because they’re starting their day WRONG.

If your breakfast looks like the left side of this chart (cereal, toast, or just a banana), you aren’t just "eating light"—you are literally signaling your body to stay hungry, tired, and in fat-storage mode all day long.

Without at least 30g of protein first thing in the morning, you’re setting yourself up for:

📉 The 10 AM Energy Crash (hello, third cup of coffee)

🍪 Unstoppable Cravings that hit hardest in the afternoon

🌙 Nighttime Overeating because your body is playing nutritional catch-up

🌱 HORMONE HACK: The Snack Most Women Are Missing

Most women over 40 are:
❌ tired
❌ stressed
❌ not sleeping well
❌ holding onto belly fat

…and they think they need something extreme.

But sometimes… it’s as simple as this 👇

👉 Start adding pumpkin seeds to your day.

Here’s why I love them for hormone health:

✨ Magnesium → helps calm your nervous system, improve sleep, reduce cravings
✨ Zinc → supports hormone balance + metabolism
✨ Healthy fats → essential for hormone production
✨ Protein + fiber → keeps blood sugar stable (bye energy crashes)

Translation?
👉 More balance

💡 My simple rule:

Add a small handful (1–2 tbsp) daily
