Warmest welcome to another addition to the Yoga House team- Anya! Anya is teaching Functional Movement Flow on Mondays at 4:15pm and Ashtanga Inspired Flow on Thursdays at 8:45am. Bio below:
Originally from Belarus, Anya moved to the US in her early 20s and discovered yoga when living in NYC. But her true romance with yoga began when she met her then teacher Yogi Dinesh Chander Ji (disciple of Swami Yogananda) in Rishikesh, India. After visiting India several times and practicing with her teacher she completed her teacher training under his guidance in 2017. She primarily practices and teaches Hatha and Ashtanga yoga with strong emphasis on pranayama (breathwork), but likes mixing and experimenting with other types of yoga and movement practices such as kundalini, meridian, and yin yoga. For Anya, yoga is the key to understanding the relationship between body, mind and nervous system, between conscious and subconscious through safe and consistent asana and meditation practice. First and foremost Anya is a forever disciple of yoga, who is on a constant hunt for knowledge, ancient and modern.
