Camping amongst the valleys and forests of Vermont is magical and beautiful. Seeing wildlife in its natural environment is always a treat that most will remember for a life time.

REMINDER: animals love food, even your food. Please keep a food and food waste inside your campers, cars, or approved trash receptacles. It can make for an interesting clean-up if you should forget.

Hot weather and empty campers can lead to bacteria buildup in your water tanks, lines, or hot water heater, leading to an unpleasant sulfur smell. If you are not sure if it's a concern in your camper or the source you are connected to disconnect and smell the water coming from the source. If there is no odor unfortunately your camper is the concern. This can be treated quickly and easily by adding a very small diluted amount of bleach to your system. Start with 1 cap full.
All it can take is 1 or 2 weeks of an empty camper in extended days of hot temperatures to breed bacteria. Keep your lines clean and your water safe.
