We had the absolute pleasure of working with Owen Leavey this past Friday! Not only did Owen take some fantastic headshots and group shots of both companies, but he’s also the amazing photographer who shoots our May show. Our Tour Preview was a success! Thank you to everyone who came out on a cold night to support our dancers - we raised over $2,000 towards our NYC fund! We had a great time, and can’t wait to see you on our tour in April.

We had a great open dress rehearsal last night, but tonight is the main event! We have 33 seats left tonight, which can be reserved online before 12pm, or at the door at 6:30pm. Make sure to check out our silent auction and bake sale before the show! We can’t wait to see you 🎉

Unable to make our Tour Preview? Come watch our open dress rehearsal on Friday, February 6th at 6:30pm! The open dress rehearsal will be held in Studio B, and is a great way for families to preview our show pieces if you can’t attend our Tour Preview on the 7th. We’ll see you there!

We are so excited to announce our Valentine’s Day Parents’ Night Out! Drop the kids off for an evening of fun with Teen Jazz while you enjoy the night out! We’ll be hosting a Valentine’s-themed Movie Night at the studio, complete with crafts, games, and supervised play. Kids will enjoy pizza, seltzer, and a cozy movie experience with friends. Students will rotate through age-appropriate stations, making it a fun and engaging night for everyone. This event is open to ages 4 and up, and is $35 per student (additional siblings are $20/each).

We’re excited to announce our annual Teen Jazz and Junior Company Tour Preview! The performance will be held on Saturday, February 7th in the Chapel at 36 College Street. The performance features both Teen Jazz and Junior Company dancers, and offers a look at the pieces they’ll be taking on tour in April.

Alongside the performance, we’ll be hosting a silent auction to support Teen Jazz’s NYC trip. The auction will go live online on January 24th and conclude in person at the performance on February 7th. Items include arts, goods, and services generously donated by local businesses you know and love.

This event is by donation, with a suggested donation of $20 for adults and $15 for students. Ticket reservations will open two weeks before the show. The Chapel IS wheelchair accessible; please let us know if you have accessibility needs when reserving tickets. For those who can’t attend the performance, we’ll also hold an Open Dress Rehearsal on Friday, February 6th from 6:30–7:30pm in Studio B. Studio dancers and families who would like to see the company perform are invited to attend. A recording of the performance will also be posted online.

Meet the Junior Company members!

Charlotte Goodwin (she/her), a 7th grader, is beginning her first year with Junior Company. She has been dancing since she was 3 and loves ballet, which she has been studying for 9 years. A favorite studio memory is performing in The Quiltmaker’s Gift with Nora Chase-Tatko, who was also her ballet assistant for several years. Charlotte’s favorite piece last year was jazz, especially because it was Abby’s last year teaching. She loves that dance is fun and that it brings her together with dancers from other schools. Outside of dance, Charlotte enjoys writing, drawing, and composing.
