It’s not very often we get snow geese around the Bear Lake Valley. Maybe a flock passing through is all.

Found a field that almost 20 of them were feeding in and decided it was worth a shot. Not knowing if they were even going to be here this morning, we set up a couple dozen snow silos and socks to see what would happen.

The buggers came in quiet and caught us outside our blinds. Not knowing what they’d do next, they came back towards us and gave us one last shot. Wasn’t how we had planned it at all in our heads but we still managed a few. It was well worth the anxiety and cold weather though!
