Well, shoot, tonight certainly didn't end how I envisioned! After a fantastic start to the evening, winning my heat race, I was feeling good heading into the feature, starting from P3. Unfortunately, the main event was over almost as soon as it began. On the very first lap, the front cars got together up ahead of me, leaving me absolutely no place to go, and then I took a hard hit from behind, resulting in a right rear flat and body damage, that ended our night prematurely. It's a tough break, but that's racing! I'll be taking next weekend off to head to my sister's big basketball tournament and cheer her on, but we'll be back in action at my home track, Montpelier Motor Speedway, on July 19th, 2025.

Looking ahead to July 19th

Open Wheel Night we will have 600cc Non-Wing Micro Sprints and ASCT 410 Steel Block Sprint Cars for their only appearances in 2025. The USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets will have their first chance at Montpelier Speedway as a result of two other rain outs this Spring AND the Super Stocks have been added to the slate because they too have had some rain outs.

This should be a great night of racing with a few classes that you can only see this one night. Make plans to join us!

It has been a couple of hot weekends for our race team as we are still making progress in the A wing class. Last weekend at Miami County Speedway I had a strong 2nd finish in the feature. This weekend we had a good showing finishing P1 in the heat, and lead some laps in feature. I settled for 2nd until 4 laps to go and the cushion got me and about sent me over, I finished P10. A lot of good progress so far and learning more daily.

It was a good Friday night at the track with quick time in group qualifying. We went from 3rd to 2nd in the heat race and from 6th to 5th in the feature with a full field of cars. For just the second night out in this class this year, Brody is progressing really well. Taking tonight off to go watch Kaylee play basketball, but plans are to be at Miami County Raceway next Saturday🏁
