Happy Halloween everyone!

We had a wonderful turnout of pumpkin creations - thank you to everyone who participated and brought a pumpkin in for the public to enjoy! If you haven’t stopped in at Dr W B Konkle Memorial Library yet, do so Saturday or Monday before the pumpkins are gone!

Congratulations to the below winners of the decorating contest. I bet it was VERY difficult decision for judges! Winners can pick their prize up at the Borough of Montoursville office (617 N Loyalsock Ave) weekdays, 8AM-4PM.

Pre-K and Kindergarten:
1. “Flamingo” – Hanna Wool
2. “Blow Fish” – Hunter Wool
3. “Spidey the Orange Spider” – Simon Downey

1st and 2nd Grade:
1. “Max O. Lotl the Axolotl” – Leia L.
2. “Swan” – Maura Callahan

3rd and 4th Grade:
1. “Sprinkle Extreme” (Carmel Apple) – Ainsley Hannan

All Other Ages:
1. “Catarina the Cactus” – Emma Downey

If you decorated a pumpkin, PLEASE pick it up by end of the day Monday. Otherwise, they will be removed from the Library, and if you want it back – please contact the Montoursville Recreation Board via Facebook message (they will be kept for a few days after).

Reminder - pick up your FREE pumpkin at the Montoursville Borough Office any weekday, 8AM to 4:30PM....then decorate it and drop it off at the Dr W B Konkle Memorial Library starting October 20th for public display and a chance to win a prize!

Starting TODAY (10/7), pick up a FREE pumpkin to decorate and enter for a chance to win, as well as share your creation with the community!

This year we've also added an "all ages" category for teenagers and adults interested in decorating and displaying their creation (and a chance to win)!

Pumpkins can be picked up at the Borough of Montoursville Office (617 N Loyalsock Ave, during normal business hours 8:00 - 4:30, M-F) starting October 7th, and decorated pumpkins can be dropped off at the Dr W B Konkle Memorial Library between October 20th and October 30th.

DO NOT DROP OFF PUMPKINS BEFORE OCTOBER 20th, please!

Judging will occur at the end of the month. Make sure to have your pumpkin to the library by October 30th or sooner!

Winners will be announced on 10/31 or shortly thereafter.

Congratulations again to the winners of the annual pumpkin contest. Reminder that winners can pick up a special prize at the Montoursville Borough building (617 N. Loyalsock Ave) anytime during normal business hours (8 to 4:30).

Also - if you did not pick up your pumpkin from the Library this weekend, and you want it back (they are no longer at the library), please send us a message. Otherwise, they will be respectfully retired soon.

The wait is over!

We had fantastic submissions for this year’s pumpkin decorating contest and our friends at the Montoursville Kiwanis had a fun time judging your masterpieces. If you haven’t stopped in the Dr W B Konkle Memorial Library yet – stop by soon to see these special creations.
