One year ago, the Sages rewrote the record books.
Every single season record.
10 seniors graduated.
A huge part of our scoring gone.
A stingy defense moved on.

Most people thought there would be a step back.

Instead… the Sages are right back where they belong.

Back-to-back Regional Champions.

Now, the journey continues.

The Sages (16-7-2) travel to the Alleman Sports Complex to take on Rock Island Alleman (11-8) in the IHSA Sectional Semifinal!

Meanwhile, in another part of the state, the IHSA Track & Field State Championships were being held in Charleston!

Congratulations to Taylor Mabry on a great season and a strong finish at the state meet!

On Friday, Taylor qualified for the 1600m finals after running a 5:07.05 in the prelims, breaking the school record.

Today, on the final day of the state meet, Taylor ran a personal-best 11:08.07 in the 3200m run, earning 9th place and a state medal. She also competed in the finals of the 1600m run, finishing 12th with a time of 5:14.09.

Congratulations, Taylor, on a great season!

Tonight, we welcomed home the Middle School Track & Field Team!

The Sages 8th grade boys team brought home the Class 3A State Runner-Up trophy, and four Sages earned state championships!

🚨 🚨 The Middle School Track & Field team is bringing home the IESA Boys Class 3A 8th Grade State Runner-Up Trophy and FOUR STATE CHAMPIONS!

An incredible weekend for the Sages included:

REGIONAL CHAMPS!!

What a night for postseason soccer! The Sages battled through two overtime periods, advanced to penalty kicks, and then won it in sudden death PKs on the very first attempt to claim a thrilling 4-3 victory!

🚨 Congratulations to MHS junior Taylor Mabry!

Taylor broke the school record in the 1600m run at the State Finals during prelims, running an incredible 5:07.05 to qualify for Saturday’s finals. She is currently seeded 8th out of 12 in the 1600m and 6th in the 3200m run.

The previous 1600m record was held by Mabry Bruhn, who ran 5:09.13 during the 2021 season.
