Who’s up for a course change? We’ve been thinking it’s been quite some time since the cages have been moved.

Calling on the disc golf community….there will be a video shoot on Oct. 21 from 8:30-9:15am at the Baty Disc Golf Course. The video will be used for promotional purposes for Jones County. If you have the time, we’d love to see you out on the course.

The Monticello Police Department is proud to announce our participation in the fight to end childhood cancer. To show our support, we have taken our uniform patch and "Gone Gold" to fight this tragic disease.

Officers of the Monticello Police Department will wear these patches on-duty during the months of May; for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma Awareness, and in September; for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Collectible patches are being sold for $10.00/each and all funds will be donated to the Austin Strong Foundation and the Inclusive Playground Project.

Cages are back in and the course will official open back up tomorrow!

Please remember to continue practicing social distancing while playing in small groups.

Cages will not be disinfected.

Parks Update

With the new guidelines set forth by the Governor, we will be closing the Baty Disc Golf Course along with all shelters and picnic tables until April 30th.

Reminder: While the course is open, we ask that you avoid using picnic tables that are located in the Willow Shelter as well as the tables out on the course.

Eastern Iowa is beginning concrete work for the trail that runs along Kitty Creek this week. If you are out playing, please be cautious and keep this in mind.
