Shots, sprawls, break falls, and down blocks yesterday at Monticello Martial Arts.

These skills are the foundation of good grappling and self defense. The kids worked on changing levels for takedowns, defending shots with proper sprawls, learning how to fall safely, and using down blocks to stop an opponent's attack before it gets started.

We believe in building strong fundamentals first. Every great Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete starts with the basics, and these students are putting in the work.

Proud of the effort, focus, and teamwork shown on the mats yesterday. The future is looking bright!
