The debate exploded after Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni was accused of racially abusing Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior during a Champions League match — while shielding his mouth with his shirt. He denied the allegations but was provisionally suspended by UEFA.

Infantino has proposed automatic red cards for any player caught covering their mouth during a confrontation.
IFAB (the body that governs football's laws) has opened a formal consultation on the matter.
A decision could come at the FIFA Congress in Vancouver on April 30 — potentially in time for the 2026 World Cup.
Infantino also floated lighter sanctions for players who apologise genuinely after an incident.

FA Van and FC Pyunik have reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Aris Karapetyan.

Karapetyan, a 20-year-old Armenian midfielder, has previously featured for the reserve sides of Pyunik and BKMA, in addition to representing the Armenia U-19 national team.

During the current season, he has made 15 appearances and scored two goals.

The club is pleased to welcome Aris and looks forward to his contributions, wishing him continued success on the pitch.
