Family trip part 2. Billy II, grandson Michael and granddaughter Audrey, Billy Sr. As most of you know my boat captain Audrey stays busy driving the boat and assisting customers it was nice to see her fish for a change.

Damon and family caught 30 keepers despite a late start after 10 am. It was a short trip because they quit biting later in the morning. That was the first time fishing for the children. It's always a good trip when you get to introduce a child to fishing.

The old saying proved true today. When the wind is out of the east fish bite the least. After 1/2 hours of hybrid fishing which netted 2 drums and several bream we switched to catfish to no avail at the first hole. Which netted numerous throwbacks and several bream. After 1 1/2 hours we moved to another hole and after an hour we netted 11 keepers and 1 throwback hybrid and several bream. What a lousy day. But I had 2 enjoyable people who understood my predicament. Kyle and wife Nancy.

Javvad and family had a good trip of a little over an hour of late morning fishing. Javvad and his brother wanted the children to experience fresh water fishing. The trip was short due to events they had scheduled. They only kept 15 fish so they could taste what fresh water catfish tasted like. A wonderful trip with a wonderful group. I hope to see them again for a full trip in the future on a not so windy day.
