Join us September 9–October 5, every Monday & Wednesday from 9:15–9:45 AM!

This 8‑session class is designed for children 18 months–4 years old, with a guardian in the water at all times. Parents will learn helpful techniques to safely introduce their child to the water, build comfort, and confidently supervise water activities.

📍 Held in the heated indoor pool at the Therapeutic Recreation Center (TRC) facility, 604 Augusta Ave

Great job to our park maintenance teams! On September 3, 2026, crews from multiple districts joined forces at Gateway Park for a full‑scale grounds maintenance day. They tackled edging, mowing, trimming, and even herbicide and pesticide application to help keep the park looking its best. Their teamwork—sharing equipment, coordinating tasks, and supporting one another—made the entire effort a huge success. The improved landscape is a direct result of their collaboration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on September 10th at the City of Montgomery Parks & Recreation Su***de Awareness Resource Fair at the Gateway Lodge.
We were grateful to provide a space filled with valuable resource tables, supportive community partners, and meaningful conversations for those seeking information and help.

A powerful message was shared by Monique Davis of the Jamari Terrell Williams Foundation and Angela Jackson of Parks and Recreation, reminding us of the impact of simply asking, “Are you okay?”—and truly listening to the answer.
