Peace or Havoc had the privilege of delivering a Strategies of Safety and Security Awareness session for the National League of Junior Cotillions, Montgomery Chapter, with more than 100 young ladies in attendance.

This was our first exposure to this organization, and I came away incredibly impressed. If you have a high school-age daughter or granddaughter, I strongly encourage you to GET THEM INVOLVED.

The leadership is doing an outstanding job preparing these young women with valuable life skills—many of which are rarely addressed in a traditional school setting.

This group of young leaders is certainly on the path to success in life. It was an honor to spend time with them!

I was teaching a SWAT School, we immediately shut it down and were deployed strategically to high asset locations. Deb was eventually sent to ground zero to assist with evidence recovery efforts.

In self-defense, eye pokes/gouges are a highly effective. The primary objective is to create an immediate opportunity to escape an attack, not to stay and fight. Delivered effectively they cause immediate pain and visual impairment. Be sure that your defensive actions are justified and you’re not delivering a disproportionate defensive response since attacking the eyes can cause serious injury.

Post incident recommendations if you have been involved in a self-defense incident…..

Move to a safe place FIRST!

Assess and self-treat your injuries if critical.

Call 911

Tell 911 you were attacked, feared for your life and had to defend yourself.

Request police and ambulance.

If safe to do so, cover your weapon but keep accessible.

It’s a personal decision if you decide to render aid to the attacker.

When police arrive listen to instructions.

Repeat to officer “I was attacked, feared for my life and had to defend myself.”

Point out evidence and witnesses.

It’s always best to state that you will cooperate but request an attorney.

Celebratory gunfire is illegal and extremely dangerous.

✅What goes up will come down.
✅A bullet fired into the air will return to the ground with enough force to kill or injure someone.

Avoidance, escape, de-escalation are ideal but there are times when you just need to be a man or lioness in this modern world and deliver righteous Havoc.

You can’t always de-escalate every situation, talk your way out of every fight, and you sure can’t afford to second-guess yourself when your loved ones are in danger.

Hope you are prepared mentally and physically to be a man or lioness for your family if suddenly life threatening danger appears.
