Storm Chasers! That’s a wrap on our MVSA Storm 18U 2023/24 season! 🌩️

We sure had “Fun in the Sun” at the tournament this past weekend! Despite the blazing heat, our team brought the thunder and lightning to the field, battling through Saturday and Sunday with fierce determination. 🌞⚡

A special shoutout to our incredible seniors – Lina, Meriam, and Famata (a.k.a. “Wheels” – because she's as fast as a lightning bolt!). These three have been the heart and soul of our team, and their energy will be missed as they move on to new adventures. 🌪️❤️

Lina’s positivity and leadership, Meriam’s mighty blocks at 1st base, and Famata’s fleet feet have electrified our games and charged up our spirits. Thank you for the unforgettable moments and for giving our opponents a run for their money!

But don’t worry, Storm Chasers, the excitement doesn’t end here! ⚡🌧️ Next up, we’re gearing up for tryouts for next year July 27 & 30. We can’t wait to see who will join the Storm and bring the thunder to the field!

🌩️🌪️ **Storm Scrimmage Highlights!** 🌪️🌩️

This week, the MVSA Storm had two awesome midweek scrimmages against the DC Riptide and Maryland Blue Jays, showcasing our team's strength and skill.

**Tuesday vs. DC Riptide:**
Storm was firing on all cylinders with 2 home runs by Tatum and Somto! Our offense was unstoppable with 10 hits and 15 runs. Nikki was exceptional in centerfield, catching multiple fly balls, while Famata displayed speed and agility at shortstop. Our pitchers, Mia and Immy, delivered multiple strikeouts, making our defense rock solid.

**Thursday vs. Maryland Blue Jays:**
We saw more powerful hits with what would’ve been home runs (triples on this field) by Izzy and Charlese, and great hits from Charlotte and Alana. Our defense was stellar with Adara and Meriam making great infield catches, and Charlotte's incredible performance as catcher.

Wishing all the dads a happy Father’s Day! We’re off this weekend but gearing up for the state championships on June 22-23. See you there, Storm Chasers!
