Good morning! 🦌

Well y’all it’s almost that time again!
Who’s ready for early mornings, coffee, getting in a deer stand, sitting still, letting the world slow down, doom scrolling, cold days, naps, little Debbie’s, big bucks, feeling the freezer and most of all walking even closer with Christ.

If your like me there’s something special about taking your Bible in the tree stand. And spending some much needed quiet time with Jesus.
To be honest it’s probably my favorite part of hunting season.

But I know we are all about read for it to be here.

Today 4 years ago I officially opened my shop.
And wow what a journey it’s been!
Each photo has an explanation of what it is.

Taxidermy has given me so much…
A way to share Christ to others.
Took me to Montana for school where I fell in love with real snow and the most amazing people I now call friends♥️
Took joes childhood milk barn and turned it into the shop.
I have gone to Missouri, Tennessee (three times), Texas, Ohio (twice), Iowa for training/conference’s.
It’s also taken me to Africa, Canada & Alaska!
It’s also brought me two amazing people I get to work beside during season. Greyson who skins out euros and Racheal who preps capes! Y’all are awesome.
I can’t even begin to talk about all the cool animals I’ve gotten my hands on and the art I’ve been able to do with them.

It took me years to finally get here but I can see how it was all in God’s timing!

Another blessing that came from taxidermy was Jeremy and his wife Missy. I owe a lot to Jeremy.
Not only for always answering my dumb questions and teaching me but always pushing me to do better and always being there for me on the good days and bad days.
And missy someone I could spend the rest of my life with talking the days away. Her love and support has blessed my life so much.

I guess I’ll use this as a time to mention my peoples.
Another guy is Will. He’s my bird guy always willing to once again answer my stupid questions and has helped me so much. Even opened up his shop to me. Man I can’t ever thank you enough. Maybe one day I’ll be half the bird taxidermist you are. 😜

And mom not only have you always supported me in my crazy idea of being a taxidermist. But as a child growing up you gave me a lot of skills that came in handy in my work now. I appreciate you always letting me do my thing and being supportive along the way.

Of course lastly my husband.
To the guy the lived 3 months without me while I was in Montana at school. The guy who helps make my shop what it is. The guy who let me go on all the trips and never once wasn’t supportive! To the guy who’s had to take in animals for me. Be up late while I skinned deer out late at night. To the guy who encouraged me to not shut my shop down when clients got unbearable. To the guys who holds panels while I screw hangers on the back. To the guy who supports me no matter what. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone. There’s so many more I could name but it’s getting long.

But most of all I have to thank each and everyone of you. The people who let me practice on your trophies. To you who make this possible. Thank you for sticking with me and I hope I keep getting better and better for you. Thank you so much for blessing me.

Ok that’s enough sorry it got so long.
