Runnings Announces New Location in Watford City
Retailer plans to relocate store to expanded location
WATFORD CITY, N.D. — May 28, 2026 — Runnings, Your Home, Farm and Outdoor Store, is a family-owned retailer headquartered in Marshall, Minnesota, and plans to relocate its existing Watford City store to a new, larger location at 905 Main Street S.
“Home of Economy—and now Runnings—has been part of Watford City’s retail landscape since 2015,” said Brian Odegaard, CEO/President of Runnings. “We’re excited to continue serving Watford City and to expand our selection of products and brands to meet the growing demand from our customers, while providing a better shopping experience.”
Runnings’ current Watford City store, located at 113 6th Ave SE, Suite 5200, was one of eight stores included in the company’s acquisition of Home of Economy in 2024.
In addition to Runnings’ broad selection of home, farm and outdoor goods, the new 65,388-square-foot store will feature an expanded assortment of sporting goods, clothing, footwear, and pet supplies, along with additional parking.
The existing store currently employs approximately 24 full- and part-time team members. Additional team members will be hired later to support operations at the new location.
