At just under 6,000 yards, this track boasts some of the best bent grass greens on the entire peninsula. Monterey Pines Golf Club was established in 1963 and It is located on a United States Navy Base (Naval Support Activity Monterey). Weekend times may be made the Monday prior to the weekend. RATES

⛳🏫On May 14, Monterey Pines Golf Maintenance Team hosted the 4th annual First Green field trip of 2 fifth grade classes of 69 students from La Mesa Elementary and a group of 5 homeschool students.

The field trip is an opportunity for students to see how STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) is utilized every day, as well as how it is applied when maintaining a golf course. The students had a blast getting their hands involved at 9 different stations that all had something different for them to learn about.

🏌️The topics ranged from fairway mowers and bunkers, cool tools, equipment, flower planting, area mathematics, fertilizers and seeds, irrigation water management, cutting cups, and learning how to play the game of golf at a putting station.

This event was a great success and a big thank you Monterey Pines Golf Maintenance Team, MWR employees, local volunteer Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents!
