Please join us in celebrating our CEO, Amy Grames who was recently recognized by Monterey Bay Sirens as one of the women making a difference in our communities.

This recognition reflects Amy’s dedication to strengthening communities, creating opportunities for youth and families, and advancing the YMCA’s mission throughout Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties.

We are proud to have her leadership guiding the Central Coast YMCA and grateful for the impact she makes every day.

Congratulations, Amy, past Y board member Jackie Cruz, Ed. D. and to all of the inspiring women who were honored for their contributions to our region.

...AND THE UNDEFEATED STREAK CONTINUES! ⚽🧜‍♀️💙

What a night with the MBFC Sirens! We had a blast welcoming fans with YMCA day passes, connecting with families at our craft and information station, and cheering on our little ones as they took part in the youth parade.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the evening so special. We're proud to support opportunities that bring our community together and inspire the next generation.

Go Sirens! 💙⚽

As temperatures rise, more families head to pools, lakes, and beaches across California. Nearly half of drowning deaths in the state occur during the summer months, making water safety awareness especially important this time of year. Learning water safety skills and staying attentive around water can help prevent tragedies. At the YMCA, water safety starts here.

YMCAs across California offer Safety Around Water, a program designed to help children develop essential water safety skills. Through guided lessons, children learn how to float, move to safety, and respond if they unexpectedly enter the water. These lessons help children build confidence and prepare for real situations around water. For many children and families, water safety starts here.

Lakes across California are popular places for families to swim, boat, and explore. While they may appear calm, lake conditions can change quickly. Cold water, sudden drop-offs, and limited visibility can create risks for swimmers. Taking a few simple precautions can help families enjoy lakes more safely. At the YMCA, water safety starts here.
