93 mph exit velo.
Force plates on the same swings: he loads the rear foot to about 94–100% and keeps that pressure centered under the mid-foot, not stuck on the toe. Hands stay back while the front foot reaches. By the time the barrel starts, pressure is already on the lead side. At contact he’s about 68% lead / 32% rear, then he posts the finish at 97–100% on a tight lead-foot center of pressure. Rear foot unloads. He does not spin off.
That is the right order for a big right-handed corner bat. Land, then swing, then hold the block. One thing to tighten: mid-stride the pressure washes back toward even for a beat before it locks forward again. One decisive move into the front side, instead of that regroup, is how this 93 starts showing up more often and how the top end moves.
Big body. Real force. Sequence is ahead of the number.

Neutral hips + ground force = leftover movement.
That’s the adjustment. A pelvis already tipped up has already spent it.
When the belt stays closer to level and force is still going into the ground, the pelvis can rotate without the chest standing up. The torso, scap, and barrel are not locked to one plane yet. So when the pitch isn’t the one he started for — up, in, off-speed — he can still change direction a little late and keep the barrel in the slot.
When the front of the pelvis angles up, two things die at once:
1. The ground is gone. He’s pushing himself off the plate instead of pushing into it. No brace, no late force.
2. The upper half has nowhere to go. The lumbar spine is already extended. Shoulders stop being athletic and become a passenger. Hands can only finish the path they started. That’s a committed swing, not an adjustable one.
Bellinger’s homer is the first version. He didn’t guess right and hope. He stayed grounded, hips stayed usable, and the barrel still had room to meet that pitch.

Dorian Asher | Benedict College 2027
Strong summer with Synker. Hit .339 with 7 doubles, 4 home runs, and a team-high 18 RBIs.
The swing cleaned up. He slotted the barrel and used a more athletic lower half when grounding into rotation. Better direction, more damage.

Ready for Benedict.
