Ethan, with his son Evan, receives a farewell card as he says goodbye to the dojo after 8 years of dedicated practice. He and his family are moving to Taiwan. Sorry to see him go but wishing him and his family safe travels and a blessed future.

Wade received his shodan (1st degree black belt} certificate from World Aikido Headquarter in Japan. Wade has been a dedicated student at Southland Aikido and passed his shodan test at USAF Winter Camp in November, 2025. Congratulations Wade!

We join the aikido community in mourning the passing of Claude Berthiaume Shihan.

We honor his lifelong dedication to aikido and the lasting impact he had on students, teachers and dojos throughout our community. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing and training with him.
