*ANNOUNCEMENT*

The Keiki Explorers Club Inc. is officially closed.
Our five years of adventures were truly some of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am grateful for the whole Keiki community from the campers and families, to the counselors, to my management team, down to every event partner and contractor that we used. I will continue to explore and adventure, just with 48 fewer kids in tow. I hope you all continue the adventures as well. Remember that broadening horizons lets us know what is possible and challenges promote growth. Thank you again. Be well.

Dear Keiki Families,

As you know from our previous messages, we had preemptively canceled our in-person camp for July due to the safety concerns regarding CoViD-19. Now, after considering the new state guidelines for summer camps, we will need to cancel our in-person camp for August as well.

For July we are offering our "2020 Summer Camp-In," a virtual summer camp experience. The goal will be to continue to provide our campers with a fun and engaging opportunity to norm socially through fun activities, and grow through experience and the guidance of our incredible staff. Now, for August, we will be starting our online "Keiki Classes". These will be a variety of short, educational, fun, one off sessions that showcase the passions and talents of our staff and friends. More information on that will be coming before July!

We are putting our hard work and creativity towards our 2020 virtual platforms, but don't fret. We will be back with a full summer of travel, experiences, and fun in 2021!

It's all so brand new to so many of us! So, last week, we decided to do a trial run of our Summer Camp-In. Want some insight into how it will feel? Here's what Chrissy had to say about how it went:

"My 6 year old son went on the trial virtual camp session for Keiki Explorers Club. When I asked him how it was, he exclaimed, "It was awesome!" The counselors were enthusiastic and kept him engaged the entire time. The best part was he didn't need any help from me! It gave an opportunity to focus on my work for a few hours without interruption. My son especially loved the Lego-themed escape room. Personally, I was thrilled to see how the counselors encouraged interaction between campers, giving him an opportunity to work on social skills in a time where those opportunities are few and far between. It was great to hear him laughing with kids his own age. Overall, it was an excellent experience!"

Introducing Keiki Summer Camp-In, a virtual camp experience!

We have taken all the best parts of summer camp and packed them into this virtual version of the Keiki Explorers Club. The focus will be on providing a place for campers to share experiences with friends new and old. Small groups will be led by our amazing staff through fun interactive events that keep kids active physically, mentally, and socially. There are mysteries to solve, rooms to escape, experiments to science, superheroes to build and so much more.

The sessions are 2 hours a day from Monday-Friday at 1:00pm-3:00pm EST. We will be using Zoom to get connected.

$200/week/camper
1:00pm-3:00pm EST each day

Dear Keiki Families,

Just like all of you, we have been paying close attention to this global coronavirus pandemic and using all the information available to guide our decisions. At this time, giving consideration to the health and safety of our community, we have decided to cancel our scheduled summer camp program for July. It is a difficult determination to come to, but we know that it is ultimately the right one for the community. For now, we will keep our scheduled August week, but will make a decision in early June regarding its viability.

On a positive note, we want to announce that we will be offering our "2020 Summer Camp-In," a virtual summer camp experience. The goal will be to continue to provide our campers with a fun and engaging opportunity to norm socially through fun activities, and grow through experience and the guidance of our incredible staff. We are pouring all of the hard work and creativity that usually goes into our schedule into fine tuning the details of this virtual experience, but will have all the details for you in a separate unveiling on May 15th. Stay tuned!
