For more than 20 years, my career as a professional dancer and choreographer has gone hand in hand with teaching Pilates.🧘‍♀️

Pilates continues to deepen my understanding of the moving body and gives me the strength and mobility to keep dancing and creating. Along the way, it has introduced me to wonderful people, allowed me to travel, provided a consistent income, and ultimately led me to open Align Pilates. 🤝

If movement is already your language, Pilates teacher training is a wonderful way to build on it. It deepens your understanding of movement, offers flexible work that can support a career in dance and beyond, and you can help so many people move and feel better in their bodies.

📖When Align Pilates owner Erin Carlisle Norton completed her Pilates teacher training in 2004, her Pilates exercises lived page by page in a binder.

🙇‍♀️There were few published books, weekends spent learning from experienced teachers, hours of observation and practice, and countless questions. No YouTube. No online libraries. Just time, mentorship, and a deep commitment to learning the method.

🤝Today, information is everywhere, but we still believe great Pilates teachers are developed through thoughtful study, hands-on practice, and real human connection.

📋 So much happening behind the scenes - setting up a new booking platform, choosing paint colors, finalizing flooring, bringing in new equipment…the list goes on.
